Route description
By public transport
'De Icoon' is situated a mere stone's throw from the Zaandam railway station. Climb the steps from the platform and take a left turn towards the city center. Go down the steps, then turn right towards the Golden Tulip Intell Hotel. Walk around the hotel and continue straight ahead for about 100 meters until you get to our office, 'De Icoon'.
By car from Amsterdam
Follow the A10/A8 motorway towards Zaanstad/Alkmaar. Take the exit signed for Zaandam-Zuid/Oostzaan. At the traffic lights at the bottom of the exit, turn right, passing underneath the flyover. Continue along this road. At the crossroads that has a Shell petrol station on your left-hand side, continue straight ahead and cross the bridge. At the next traffic lights, turn right onto Provincialeweg. At the fourth traffic light, turn left. Turn right at the bottom of the road and make for the red building 'De Icoon'. You can ring a bell at the barrier.
By car from Alkmaar
Follow the A9 motorway towards Zaandam. Take exit 10, signed for Castricum/Zaandam. At the traffic lights at the bottom of the exit, turn left ('Zaandam') onto Provincialeweg (N203). Continue along this road for about 13 km until you get to the Zaandam railway station. About 100 meters past the railway station, turn right at the traffic light. Turn right again at the bottom of the road and make for the red building 'De Icoon'. You can ring a bell at the barrier.
By car from Beverwijk
Follow the A22 motorway towards Zaandam. At Parallelweg ('Meubel-Boulevard') take the exit signed for Zaandam, onto the N246. At the roundabout, keep to the right and head for Zaandam. Go straight ahead at the next roundabout and continue along the Noordzeekanaal Channel. After about 5 km you will get to another roundabout. Take exit 3, signed for Zaandam-Zuid. Continue straight ahead, crossing two bridges, onto Hoofdtocht. At the traffic lights turn left onto Albert Heijnweg. At the next traffic lights, turn left again, onto Provincialeweg (N203), heading for Zaandam. After about 50 meters take the second exit on your left. Turn right at the bottom of the road and make for the red building 'De Icoon'. You can ring a bell at the barrier.
