Message of the Board
Dear Reader,
We are pleased to share with you the 2010 Annual Report for the DHV Group.
The report integrates financial and sustainability reporting and features a selection of the projects that the Group is proud to have completed for clients this year. In 2010 we achieved a turnover of 469 million euros and a recurring EBITA of 10.2 million. There was solid performance in Africa and North America and the year brought many positive developments, including orders for our innovative Nereda® water treatment technology from both the Netherlands and South Africa. We established a new national company in Vietnam.
However, some significant parts of the organization did not meet their profitability targets. The Group is therefore implementing a restructuring process in the Netherlands which is the main reason for 15 million euros of one-off items. The net result was a negative 9.3 million euros. With the measures being taken, we anticipate sustained improvement during 2011.
The outlook for DHV Group remains healthy. Financially we are in good shape. We look forward to working with our clients to deliver innovative, quality solutions for the sustainable development of our living environment.
