DHV joins Dutch economic mission to South Africa

Engineering consultancy DHV will participate in the economic mission to South Africa and Mozambique, which will visit the two countries during 10-17 May under the leadership of Mr Koenders, Dutch Minister for Development Cooperation, and Mr Heemskerk, Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade.

The mission will focus on wastewater treatment, drinking water supply, port development, airport development, transport, and transportation systems – including the infrastructure and logistics related to the 2010 World Football Championships.
DHV is involved in these developments through projects like the revitalization of the provincial railways in Eastern Cape Province, the modernization of the Gauteng Freeway around Johannesburg, the Nereda® wastewater treatment demonstration project in Gansbaai, and the extension of the Cape Town International Airport in South Africa, as well as through coastal and port works in Mozambique.

DHV operates in the African market through its subsidiary companies SSI, NACO, SEED, NPC and Turgis, which together employ more than 1,000 people.
